Terms of Use

By accessing or using ShareDrop ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

ShareDrop is a temporary file-sharing platform that allows users to upload files and generate share links. Files are hosted temporarily and deleted automatically based on the expiry option selected at upload.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You are solely responsible for the content you upload and the individuals you share links with. The following uses are strictly prohibited:

  • Uploading malware, viruses, ransomware, or any malicious software
  • Uploading content that infringes on intellectual property rights, copyrights, or trademarks
  • Uploading illegal, obscene, defamatory, or threatening content
  • Uploading stolen personal data, credentials, or confidential information
  • Using the Service to harass, spam, phish, or exploit others
  • Attempting to circumvent rate limits, security measures, or access controls
  • Filing false or malicious abuse reports

Violation of these terms may result in immediate removal of your files and blocking of your IP address without notice.

3. File Expiry & Deletion

Files uploaded to the Service are temporary. You may choose one of the following expiry durations at the time of upload:

  • 1 hour — file is deleted 1 hour after upload
  • 24 hours — file is deleted 24 hours after upload
  • 7 days — file is deleted 7 days after upload

Deletion is performed automatically by a scheduled maintenance process. The Service does not guarantee exact deletion times. Do not rely on ShareDrop as permanent storage or as the sole copy of any file.

4. Self-Destruct Files

You may optionally enable "self-destruct" when uploading a file. Self-destruct files are automatically deleted after the first successful download. Once a self-destruct file has been downloaded, it is permanently unavailable and the share link will no longer work.

5. Link Access & Security

Anyone who possesses a valid share link can download the associated file. Share links are not password-protected. You should treat share links as public URLs and only share them with intended recipients. The Service is not responsible for unauthorized access resulting from link sharing.

6. Abuse Reporting

If you believe a file hosted on ShareDrop violates these Terms of Use or applicable law, you may report it using the "Report" button on the download page or by emailing support.railing204@passmail.net. All reports are reviewed by the site administrator, who may remove the file or dismiss the report at their sole discretion.

7. Monitoring & Analytics

The Service logs download activity, including IP addresses, referrer URLs, and approximate geographic location, for the purposes of analytics, abuse prevention, and security. All logged IP data is automatically deleted after 7 days. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of any files you upload. By uploading a file, you represent and warrant that you have the right to share that file and that doing so does not violate any law or third-party rights. The Service claims no ownership over uploaded content.

9. Content Removal

The site administrator reserves the right to remove any file, disable any share link, block any IP address, or restrict access to the Service at any time and without prior notice, for any reason including but not limited to:

  • Violation of these Terms of Use
  • Response to abuse reports or legal requests
  • Protection of the Service, its infrastructure, or its users
  • Compliance with applicable laws or regulations

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. UPLOAD SPEEDS, DOWNLOAD SPEEDS, STORAGE CAPACITY, AND AVAILABILITY ARE SUBJECT TO HOSTING LIMITATIONS AND MAY VARY.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR DAMAGE TO REPUTATION, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Service and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your uploaded content, or your violation of these Terms.

13. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Changes will be reflected by the "Effective date" at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the appropriate jurisdiction.
