How ShareDrop Handles Data
Last updated: June 10, 2026
What We Collect
When you upload a file, ShareDrop stores the file, original filename, file size, detected file type, generated share code, upload time, download count, and uploader IP address. This is needed to provide share links, rate limiting, abuse prevention, and file deletion.
Uploaded Files
Uploaded files are stored under random server filenames and are served through controlled download links. Anyone with a valid share link may access the file until it is deleted or expires.
Retention
Files are scheduled to auto-delete after 7 days. Server backups, caches, or logs may persist for a limited time depending on the hosting provider.
Cookies And Sessions
The public upload page does not require an account. The admin area may use a session cookie to keep an administrator signed in.
Sharing And Selling
We do not sell uploaded files or upload metadata. Data may be accessed by the site administrator or hosting provider when needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, or comply with valid legal requests.
Your Choices
Do not upload files you do not want accessible through a link. To request deletion before expiry, contact us at support.railing204@passmail.net and include the share link.
